FROM TERRY GASKILL:
TAMPICO MEMORIAL WEEKEND ACTIVITIES 2017:
Tampico American Legions puts up the flags Saturday May 27th at 8am and if anyone wants to help please be at Tampico Garage by the St. Mary’s Cemetery and BRING A SLEDGE HAMMER to pond in stakes. Many of the members are getting older and have health issues including myself so I can’t help. Hopefully the younger people will help! THE LEGION COULD USE EXTRA HELP!
SUNDAY MAY 28TH AT 6AM: Put up flags if they were not put up Saturday.
MONDAY MAY 29Th 10AM: Tampico American Legion Post 574 Color Guard will fire a salute at St. Mary’s Cemetery and then go to Memorial Cemetery to fire a salute after the names are read of Deceased Veterans at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Names will be read at Memorial Cemetery after the firing of the salute by the color guard. I hope to help with this as I carry the Post 574 Flag!
MONDAY MAY 29TH AT 4PM: Take down flags and pull up stakes and put flags away if they are not wet.
WE HOPE IT DOES NOT RAIN! SO PLEASE COME AND ENJOY THE 2017 MEMORIAL SERVICES IN TAMPICO AND IF YOU CAN HELP, THANK YOU!
