Bette Newell Howlett 1800's

Submitted by Stormy Reiley This is Bette Newell Howlett taken in the 1800's. She was the mother of Maude & Floyd Howlett. Maude grew up to marry Jospeh Reiley. Bette Newell Howlett was born in 1862. Her husband was Oliver Howlett and was born in 1860. Bette died not long after giving birth to Floyd. Oliver went on to marry Phoebe Anne Thompson. Then Oliver and Phoebe later relocated to Sask. Canada, where an entire branch of the HOWLETT line now lives. Only when the last plant has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realize that we cannot eat money. Cree Indian Saying
